Ultimately, NAFC services will include:
Cultural Arts Program & Events
Native American Charter School
Child & Youth
Tutoring Academies
Early Prevention & Intervention Programs
Educational Guidance & support
Specialized Counseling for Children and Teens
Native American Alternative Medicines
Spiritual Gatherings & Talking Circles
Economic Development Services
Family & Individual Legal Services
Family Conferences and Parenting Workshops
The future of NAFC programs is innovative because it places importance on the well-being of all members of a family affected by substance abuse and mental health disorders as an effective means of recovery involvement, and it understands that every single member of a family affected by mental illness is a victim and deserves continuing treatment.
Children are at the core of all families/communities and can be a limitless source of hope to all adults recovering from a mental health disorder, especially substance abuse. For this reason, NAFC encourages clients to simultaneously enroll their children in its youth programs and to include them in their recovery by bringing them to all spiritual gatherings.
NAFC also believes that there must be a spiritual component to recovery. For example, not only is it critical to treat a person’s broken spirit by providing a safe and comfortable environment where they can develop a new self-image based on positive cultural attributes. NAFC helps victims of health disorders and substance abuse to erase their shame and develop PRIDE IN WHO THEY ARE, where they come from, and where they are going in life. |
